Changing the Narrative Season 1 Episode 2 (The Hair Chronicles)

Are you ready for most black peoples excuse for not being so quick to get into the water!! We have more amazing stories and some you would be very shocked to hear regarding indepth stories and interviews from our young cast. Join us for episode 2 in the Changing The Narrative journey.

I can’t believe it’s almost been a week since we released episode one! I hope it lived up to expectations. By the way, to those who found it amusing to witness my obvious struggle in breaking the news to my wife, Jig, about making yet another documentary ! Well shame on you I had rehearsed what I was going to say and had it all down to perfection, but, as these things often go, it didn’t come out as expected🫣

On a serious note, the feedback has been fantastic, and discussions on swimming amongst young people is growing stronger every day. I also heard about so many watch parties last Sunday, as people settled in to watch the first episode together. I’ve also seen numerous pictures of people with the promotional flyers. Thank you all for your support!

I am hoping that October 2024 will be remembered as the month that ignited the infusion of aquatics into youth culture. There have already been more conversations in this short period of time than ever before, and we’re only just getting started.

Stay tuned, and let’s catch up after episode two!

A new episode will be dropping each week from now till the end of October. Please check back for the next one, share, like and subscribe.

@ed_accura We too are shocked at the statistics for global drownings and applaud your commitment to make a difference.

We continue to support our local and national water safety partners, as a joined up approach to this problem is imperative.

Anyone can drown, but nobody should. 🔵🔱

With Danielle Obe and Alice Dearing, I attended the World Health Organization (WHO) launch in Geneva of the Global Status Report on Drowning Prevention, which was its first-ever comprehensive report on this critical issue.
